**Family Appreciation Day Tomorrow!**
We would like to invite parents to attend our annual Family Appreciation Day tomorrow!
The BBQ will kick off at 12.30pm in the courtyard (weather permitting!!). 1st-6th classes will be brought down with their class teacher to eat some food and have some fun and they will then return to their classes as normal. Junior and Senior Infant classes will be released to their parents at 13.10pm as usual and parents are then asked to bring them along to the BBQ. Everyone will receive a ticket that they can exchange for their BBQ treat! Parents can attend the event from 12.30pm and are invited to bring along any salad accompaniments they would like to share with each other.
Please ensure you let your class teacher know (if they don't already) if there are specific foods your child is not permitted to eat during this event. There will be music, dancing and playground games so there will be lots of fun alongside the food so everyone should have a lovely afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate all our fantastic families following another amazing year in P.E.T.N.S.
We've had a great sports day today! Had a bit of rain but didn't stop us! We've covered everything from athletics and yoga, to tag rugby and basketball!
Everyone in Redwood was working really hard yesterday preparing for their end of year maths test. After we finished we took some time at the end of the day and had a fun game of basketball! Fantastic having the courts in the new school!
Today we had our first whole school rehearsal of the Jungle Book finale! We're so excited to perform it for everyone! It's coming together really well!
Today, pupils from the Redwood and Rowan class have been interviewing some of the main characters from the upcoming Jungle Book play! They prepared their questions yesterday and held interviews this morning. The best ones might make it into the play programme!
It’s that time of year again - Powerstown ETNS will host our HB Ice Cream Fun day in aide of Down Syndrome Ireland!
On June 1st, each class will be getting their own delicious ice-cream to enjoy! We are asking all the boys and girls to donate €1 for this brilliant cause, Down Syndrome Ireland.
Down Syndrome Ireland is an organisation that is working to provide an Irish society where people with Down Syndrome have the same basic human rights to healthcare, education, employment opportunities and decision making as all other citizens. Please support this great cause!
Everyone was a fantastic representation for our school! We had a great day in the sun! Well done to everyone who took part and Kelvin (Rowan Class) who took home silver!
